PostHeaderIcon Health Care Reform ~ HISTORIC DAY FOR LUPUS SURVIVORS!!

March 21, 2010!! What a historic day for lupus survivors and others affected by other chronic illnesses...

Thank you and Hip-Hip Hooray to our 44th President Barack Obama and the House of Representatives (voted 219-212) for the willingness, patience and courgae to afford about 32 million Americans, healthy or suffering with a pre-existing medical condition with health care. It was a long, exasperating process but now approxiamtely 94% of Americans will have health care insurance.

This new Bill will ban insurance companies from dropping people when they become ill and bans annual and lifetime limits on health care. It all will take effect 6 months after the enactment of the Bill.

It was a night just like any other weekday, getting ready for bed and getting the kids ready for the next day.

My doctor told me a few years ago that I may have to replace my knees and hip but, she gave me at least 10 years. My 7 year diagnoses anniversary was on July 12th so I guess I'm just a few years shy.
